This title tries to combine the appeal of video with the advantages of your good old learning book. I for one think that they have done very well too.
The story of Barney the Bear and his bun with five cherries on, is a well drawn well constucted journey into a world where you and your child can experiment with words and pictures. There are even several nursery rhymes to be found within the story.
The story itself is told by 'The Doctor' Tom Baker and he gives you the option of letting him tell you the whole story from start to finish, (this takes about 15 minutes) or to hear the story and play games too. (Ed:Calm down Jonny these are educational games.)
The down side to a Bun for Barney is in the actual programming.
The screen updating in some areas is so slow that I suspect that it must have been written in Amiga Basic or even worse, by Seb from Almathera.
